The Junk Mail Experiment: PARIS
Under the sponsorship of the Les Amis de la Terre - Paris and R.A.P. (resistance a l’agression publicitaire) and in collaboration with French film maker Suzanne Körösi.  One hundred Parisian school children who have been collecting the junk mail that they receive at home worked with Hashimoto at the exhibition space to shred the paper and build an installation.

Concurrent to this show in Paris, Dubhe Carreño Gallery (Chicago) presents an exhibition of selected work from Hashimoto's on-going environmental art project, The Junk Mail Experiment. The Chicago gallery relayed a live-video feed direct from the museum in Paris during the building of the installation and opening events, and upon her return to Chicago, Hashimoto will discuss her collaborative experiences in Paris and present a short-cut from Suzanne Körois’ film of the project on October 24 at 2 PM..
